Assoc.Prof.Dr. A.Beyhan ÖZDEMİR

He was born in 1965 in Gaziantep. He studied at Ankara University, DTCF Hungarian Language and Literature Department between 1982-1986. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Fine Arts Faculty "Cinema-TV Photography" Department in 1990, which he entered in 1986.

In 1992, he completed his master's degree at DEU Institute of Social Sciences with his master thesis on "Contemporary Hungarian Cinema". He completed his doctorate study at DEU Institute of Social Sciences in 1996. He received the title of "Doctor of Science" with his doctoral dissertation, which examines the emergence of photography, its evaluation as an art and the technical, ideological and aesthetic dimensions of the intervention in photography today.

He has opened 38 personal exhibitions at home and abroad so far. His articles have been published in various journals and he has given conferences at national and international meetings. He participated in more than 80 group exhibitions, received many national and international awards and numerous exhibitions. He was a jury member in many photo contests.

He traveled to photo trip to nearly 40 countries and around 300 cities. He served as the Vice President of TFSF between 2013-2015. He is a member of Gaziantep Photography Art Association (GAFSAD) and İzmir Photography Art Association (İFOD). He was the President of the Turkish Photographic Art Federation (TFSF) in 2017-2019. He is currently working as a faculty member at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Photography.
