Photographic Arts Association of Gaziantep

Our association was founded in 1988 under the leadership of our founding president Özalp Dündar and with the support of Mr. Mehmet Baltacı and Prof. Mehmet Bayhan. It has organized many international and national photography events since its establishment. Our association has made great efforts to spread the art of photography in Gaziantep, and brought the works of its members to photography enthusiasts through numerous contests and exhibitions. Photo-marathon, which is a type of photo contest getting popular worldwide, was organized for the first time in Turkey by our association.

GAFSAD is a founding member of The Photographic Arts Federation of Turkey (TFSF) and takes pride in it. On the anniversary of the liberation of Gaziantep from enemy invasion, we are organizing an online photography exhibition called “Pictures from Gaziantep in the 99th Anniversary of Liberation”. We present our exhibition, in which 23 photographers from our association participated with a total of 44 works. 

We would like to thank our member Mr. Hasan Yelken, who accelerated the creation of our project with his ideas, the TFSF President Dr. Sefa Ulukan for supporting the online exhitibion in TFSF website, and all members of our association for their contributions.
