Ümit DEVECİOĞLU was born in 1977 in Samsun's Bafra district. He completed his secondary school in Bafra and his high school education in 19 Mayıs District Ballıca 60th Year Multi-Program High School. He has been living in Biga district of Çanakkale since 2003 due to his job. Profession Machine Maintenance Repair.

In 2014, while looking for a hobby, he entered his life when one of his colleagues told him that he bought a camera and that he was going to take a photography course. He started photography course with his colleague with the DSLR machine he bought for him. During the course, he made new friends and liked the photo more thanks to them. Without realizing it, he found himself taking street and portrait photography. He loved the street, life and traveling. He likes to get to know new faces, meet new people, and chat with them.

He participated in many photography course activities in Biga where he lived, and took part in many exhibition activities.

We crossed paths with Fotono21 Photography Association, and had the opportunity to meet Fotono21 management and members at an event held in Diyarbakır. Their friendship and photography still continues.
