Fotono21 Photography Society which founded on December 7, 2013 became an association,Fotono21 on November 28, 2016 with the short name of Diyarbakır Photography Association "Fotono21".

The increase in interesting and demanding in the art of photography, the change in the rules of photography by the qualified features of mobile devices, and the increase in the production of photographs by the rapidly spreading social networks both increased visual production and caused visual pollution on the other.

Our association, which was established due to the importance gained by the photography education, which serves as a set in front of the production of photographs taken randomly, the center of interest is not very strong, does not contain stories and mostly similar to each other, has made photography lovers who have been in Diyarbakır receive free training since its establishment, With its projects, it strives to transform the visual elements of the city into photography and to produce qualified works of photography.

Fotono21, rather than gathering all photo volunteers together, is the name of a union of hearts that will enjoy creating photography teams that can work together in harmony, producing projects with patience and stability and sharing them.

Photography workshops held within our association have an important place in order to produce original photographs. These workshops, which require long-term and disciplined work, are free of charge like other services. Studies are carried out in accordance with the schedule determined by the volunteer workshop supervisor, and all work is evaluated twice a month at the association meetings. The members participating in these evaluations take part in the photo reading activity by bringing the 5 photos they have taken.

The photography presentation and conversation activities, exhibitions, application trips, photo reading days, basic and advanced photography trainings, photoshop trainings that we have been doing since 2013 are completely free of charge. All expenses are covered by sharing equally among the members on a voluntary basis.

Our association, which consists of members who come together only on the basis of photography, away from prejudices, will continue its free services and volunteer work within the bounds of its possibilities.

During the Pandemic Period, we organize our exhibitions online and continue our trips with a limited number of photographers. As an association, we are a member of the Turkish Photographic Art Federation (TFSF) as of 2021.

Finally, we prepared our black and white photography exhibition with the participation of 33 members. Our projects and ideas are ready for the new lifestyle. We create the conditions and increase the production. We know that as long as the art continues, we will continue.
