Metin ÖZTÜRK was born in 1965 in March. After studying primary, secondary and high school in Trabzon, he won Malatya İnönü University Accounting Department in 1986 and graduated from KTU Faculty of Economics and Anadolu University Faculty of Business in 1990 after a 2-year education life in Malatya. He worked in his own office for 25 years as an Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor in Trabzon. He served in the Management and Supervisory Boards of many non-governmental organizations. In the local elections held in 2004, he was elected as a member of the Trabzon Municipality Council and served as a member of the Assembly for 5 years. Between 2009-2019, he worked as the General Manager of Trabel AŞ, Trabsu AŞ and Turkuaz Aş belonging to the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality. In June 2019, he started to spend a little more time in the art of photography by retiring.

While watching the world, he realized that there was always something missing and that I had dreams that I could not fit into my walls. With amateur excitement, forcing a professional course; He was always hungry for learning, aware that professionalization is not repeating himself with a fixed understanding, and worked with the love of learning. With his photographs, he aimed to reflect living souls and living lives and carried them to the frame and the language of photography. In 2002, he participated in the basic photography training seminar organized by FOTOFORUM. He enrolled in Anadolu University Photography and Videography Department in 2016 and graduated from this department in 2018. In the same years, he received his Press photography certificate from Anadolu University. Later, he enrolled in the Photography Department of Atatürk University and graduated from the department of photography and videography in 2020.

Öztürk, who has opened numerous photography exhibitions in Turkey and abroad since 2004, works professionally as an amateur as he takes photographs as a hobby. He tried to share his work so far with people without expecting anything in return. In doing so, its sole purpose is to introduce the visual richness of our region to the whole world. The amateur spirit is always good, adrenaline and excitement are present in this spirit.
