“He was about ten years old. He was having pictures taken with his friends in the neighborhood. The photographer didn't take his photo because he didn't have any money with him. He remembers that day with sadness…”

He thinks that this experience connects him to the photography.

He was born in 1961 in Ankara's Ayaş District, Yağmurdede / Dastarlı Village. He was graduated from Gazi University FEAS Banking Department in 1986.

He started taking photographs in 1977 when he was 16 years old with a “Lubitel” brand camera he received as a birthday present from his father. He attended AFSAD's (Ankara Photography Artists’ Association) "Basic Photography Education Seminar" in 1984. He became a member of AFSAD in 1990. He served as a member of the board of directors in the 1991,1992, 1993 and 2000 periods of study. He was a member of the Advisory Board and Photograph Evaluation Board of AFSAD. He served as the responsible person for the "Photography Education Project for Imprisoned Children" at Elmadağ Juvenile Detention House.

He took part in many mixed and joint photography exhibitions and photography shows. Performed personal photo shows. He was chosen as member of the jury in several contests. His photos were published in newspapers and magazines. He was a member of the editorial board of the photography magazine www.fotografya.gen.tr between the years of 2000 and 2012. He gave photography training to 280 people in 15 workshops as an instructor. He received 22 awards in national photography competitions, 73 of his photographs were exhibited.

His anatomy was distorted from carrying a bag full of photographic equipments for 40 years on his left shoulder. His left shoulder is 2.5 cm higher when compared to the right shoulder. Now he also uses a backpack like many others.  

He executed 11 personal photography exhibitions.

He was honored with 7 plates for his contributions to the art of photography.

He has achieved 7 'FIRST's in the field of art in photography so far.

He wants to live to 101 years old.

Photography is a "Lifestyle" for him.
