Van-Erciş Earthquake 2011-2021 Photography Exhibition

After the earth quakethattook place in Van and Erciş at 13.41 on 23.10.2011, I went to Erciş on duty with the decision of the AFSAD Board of Directors to "send a photographer to document the Van-Eciş earthquake".

This year is the 10th anniversary of the Van-Erciş earthquake.

My exhibition is thestory of these 10 years. After the earthquake in Erciş ten years ago, I re-took photos of the same site to document the change which I will share them with you along with my memories of the shooting. There are 80 photographs in theexhibition.

The purpose of my exhibition; not to forget the earthquake, to create an agenda about the earthquake and to increase the awareness of the earthquake so that the same paindoes not happen again.

Exhibition; Due to the pandemic conditions, it will be published on Doğanay Sevindik’s facebook and Instagram accounts between 23-31 October 2021.

The photography exhibition is supported by Ankara Photography Artists Association (AFSAD), Search and Rescue Association (AKUT), Radio and Television, Turkish Photographic Art Federation (TFSF) and Turkish Medical Association (TTB).
