Banu Kaplancalı is a Turkish  Performance Art Photographer. Born in Istanbul. Graduated from Saint Michel French College and completed a degree on American  Language and Literature at Holy Names University in The United States of America.

Since 1990 ,she has been working in numerous public institutions as well as private companies and festivals.

Her works have been used at theatres, on magazines and academic journals as archive,promotional material and educational purposes.

Also . her works have been participated and represented both in International Theatre and Photography festivals and galleries.

Her work ‘Elsa’ is displayed in Adana Mehmet Baltacı Photography Museum.

Her performance arts photographs have won many awards including Şinasi Barutçu Cup,in 2012.

Her project , The Backstage: The Third Place commenced in 2007,still continues.
