He was born in Erciş district of Van and worked in public and private companies. Dağer, who has an interest in art and literature. He first saw the photo in his primary school teacher. Unable to receive photography education, Dağer took part in many public interest exhibitions as a reporter, photojournalist. He did not receive any fees, including academic, magazine and book covers. He served in many local and foreign media groups. Ali Dağer, who gives photography lessons, still continues to live and produce photographs in Erciş District of Van.
