A. Kadir Ekinci was born in Kars. He graduated from Ankara Gazi Education Institute. Ekinci, a member of the Ankara Photography Artists’ Association (AFSAD) since 1992, took charge in the management and consulting boards. He participated inmany projects organized by AFSAD, such as the GAP Faiths and Beliefs Project in Southeastern Anatolia.

His personal exhibitions named “Silent Light”, “Distant Light” and “Mal Meydanı” consisting of his black and white photographs were presented in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. His album named “Silent and Distant Light” was published in 2010 and his album named “Mal Meydanı” Field” was published in 2018. His photographs were exhibited in many national and international competitions.

In 1999, he took part in the team that brought the World Cup to our country at the 25th FIAP International black/white print biennial. In 2002, he was awarded the “Laudable Artist of the Year” award by the Art Institution. In 2013, he won the Sinasi Barutcu trophy award.

Ever since he started photography, he believed in the power of light. He continues his works behind the light.
