He was born in Ardeşen in 1964. In 1986, he graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Education / Painting department. He graduated from Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Photography and Videography Department in 2015 as part of the Second University.

Since his student years, he was more interested in photography than painting and continued to work in this direction. He has been taking photographs underwater since 2006. He is currently the president of the Underwater Imaging Unit of the Turkish Divers Club, and gives underwater photography lessons within the club.

Besides Turkish waters he dove  at the sea  of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Red Sea, the Maldives and the Gulf of Aqaba , has won prizes in national and international underwater photography competition. His photos have been published in magazines.

From 1958 to today's photographers, he curated the exhibition called "Diadan Digital", consisting of 128 photographs, shot in the Marmara Sea by 64 photographers who are passionate about the sea, and shed light on the underwater life as a documentary. The exhibition was exhibited at the 17th Marmara Festival, various universities and in February 2018 at CKM.

He is preparing a study documenting the underwater life and diversity of the Marmara Sea, his favorite sea. In addition to his solo exhibition "Colors of the Marmara" about the Marmara Sea, his photographs are exhibited in various group exhibitions, and he gives photo presentations at universities and photo societies, diving clubs, and speeches on underwater photography.
