Born in 1971 in Istanbul.  He graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1994.  He completed his specialty training in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the same faculty in 2001. While focused his professional career on Interventional Pain Treatment, continued to be in touch with the sea. 

He started scuba diving in 2004 and received CMAS 2 stars and SSI Nitrox certificates.

His interest in photography started during his university years and he has been continuing his underwater photography journey with a DSLR camera since 2016, which he started with a compact camera in 2008.

In 2020, he graduated from Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Photography and Videography Associate Degree Program.

He was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors at the first general assembly of the Underwater Photographers and Filmmakers Association-SUFOD, which was established in 2017.  He is currently on the SUFOD Board of Directors as Vice Chairman.

He has a son.
