He was born in Eskişehir in 1970. He graduated from İstanbul University, Geophysical Engineering in 1991 and got his postgraduate degree in Marine Geophysics and MBA. 

His first encounter with Photography was the camera given as a gift by his father , his first guide.  In the following years he got certificates from İFSAK and FOTO-TREK  and went on improving himself in photography. He held a solo-exhibition “ Portraits from Turkey '' İn Plovdiv, Bulgaria in order to contribute to introducing Turkish  Culture abroad. Exhibition took place in three different cities in Bulgaria.

Having always  been fascinated by deep blue since his childhood , Kutlu Güvenç got first  scuba diving training in Jordan 2012 and improving his hobbies by stepping into Underwater Photography.
